Go Nina, go!
This is the sixth day of Nina's life, and we have more good news to report: her bilirubin levels are decreasing, her pH is balancing well (granted, they're giving her base intravenously to balance it for her, but this means she can spend more energy on growing), she had another poop (that's the technical term for doo doo), and ANOTHER 24 hours with no alarms! And.. she's up to 10 cc's of mommy's milk for EACH meal! Of course, she still has a long way to go, and a lot of growing to do, but so far she's doing wonderfully. Go Nina, go!

Go, Nina! She is such a fighter. I look like that myself in the morning though my cooing sounds aren't nearly as cute.
ReplyDeleteI just posted a comment and it disappeared! Well, it was too long anyway! I am so happy to see these pictures and hear this news. What a lovely little girl you have!
ReplyDeleteAny time either of you want to go out to eat or have a new friend in town to talk with or hang out with, let me know. I'd love to do that for you.
My dad is in the field of child development so if and when you are ready for new ears and thoughts, please ask. It's probably not time yet, but he knows lots of people who could be helpful to you, especially when you get back to NYC, if you should want another person to talk to about your little girl.
I know this is a stressful and joyful time for you both. Know that there are lots of people up here who can be supporters, if you would like to have that.
I'm thinking of you both.
Love,
Ann
