"Liquid Gold"

These photos pretty much speak for themselves.

We had a wonderful visit with Nina this morning.

More good news: the nurses have stopped giving Nina antibiotics. She shows no signs of infection!

The nurses call this stuff, "Liquid Gold."
Dawning's breast milk (actually colostrum at this point) is custom-made for Nina. It is literally the best thing on earth for her. Nina's stomach is so small, though, that the amount shown in the syringe here (about 10 cubic centimeters) is enough for three meals.

When she's lying in this spot, Mommy's body automatically helps to regulate Nina's temperature, breathing, and heart-beat. That means Nina can spend more of her energy growing!
