This is a picture of the isolette - Nina's new home. It monitors her body temperature and automatically heats or cools the air around her to keep her within an optimal range. When she can regulate her own temperature, she'll graduate from here to an open-air bed.Here's a funny story: we just went to visit Nina and the nurse came over laughing. She told us that a little while ago she came by to check on Nina and found her balled up in the corner of the isolette! Amazing! She can't crawl yet, but little Nina managed to wriggle herself over there. The nurse replaced her pillow with one of Dawning's shirts (we gave it to her to keep her scent close), and now Nina's back to staying put. She's a feisty little girl!
In case you were wondering about her size, we did this little hand-to-hand comparison, father to daughter. She's really small! Still, the nurses tell us that she's above the 50th percentile size-wise for her age.
